My telegram No. 705.

Following from Air Attaché, begins:

French Air Attaché called today and informed me that it was

unlikely that the French would be able to supply Chinese with order

for twelve Moranes end eight Potez aircraft referred to in my tele-

gram No. 55 to Air Ministry (not repeated to Foreign Office) as

these Aircraft were now required by French Air Force.

It is possible that real reason for cancelling this order is

difficulty attending supply of aircraft to China by rail through

Hanoi, ends.

Addressed to Foreign Office. (Please repeat to Air Ministry).
